Wills & Probate

The making of Will is one of the most important decisions you will ever make and the planning of your Will must take into account Inheritance Tax liabilities. By making a Will you are ensuring that all of your wishes are carried out upon your death.

Our Solicitors will carry out home visits to take instructions and complete your Will in circumstances where you are unable to attend our office due to illness or incapacity.

When we believe that there may be possible tax issues we may consider it appropriate that with your consent we work with your Accountant or your Financial Advisor.

All of our Solicitors have extensive experience in handling Administrations of Estates and can advise on the various complex issues that arise during the course of the Administration process to minimize any anxiety and stress to the family, and the Executors/Administrators of the Estate.  The administration of an estate can at times take longer than family, friends, Executors and Administrators would normally expect.  During the course of the administration of the estate we shall explain what stage the administration has reached so that all parties are kept fully informed of the progress on finalizing the Estate.

Our Solicitors have a wealth of experience in preparing/drafting and registering Enduring Powers of Attorneys together with applications to the Office of Care & Protection to appoint a Controller/s in circumstances where an individual is unable due to illness or incapacity to manage their affairs an in caring for and attending to the welfare of our elderly clients.

We will hold your Will and other personal documents in our Safe – FREE OF CHARGE

During the month of November we are pleased to be part of "Will Aid’s Make a Will Month". During the month of November, we will write a basic Will without charging our usual professional fee. Instead we will invite you to make a donatation to the Will Aid group of charities. The suggested minimum donation is £90 for a single Will, or £135 for a pair of 'mirror' Wills. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a professionally drawn up Will and to help some of our best loved charities at the same time.  See our News Page for more information.
